It is a document which affirms that an inspection of all gas appliances has been carried out by a Gas Safe Registered Engineer. The inspection ensures all gas appliances and flues in the landlord’s rented property are operating safely and up to current standards.

Do homeowners need Gas Safety Record?
There is no legal requirement for homeowners to hold valid Gas Safety Record. However, it is needed for most boiler manufacturer warranties and often for home insurance policies.
Each boiler manufacturer has their own warranty conditions. An annual Gas Safety Record may not be enough to satisfy these condition.
